Policy expertise and technical assistance for the EU Pact implementation
In 2025, as part of my tenure as Child Protection Consultant with UNICEF Europe and Central Asia Regional Office (ECARO), I am providing strategic advice on the implementation and impact of the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum, ensuring flexible technical support to ECARO and UNICEF country offices on a wide range of migration and asylum key thematics.
Developing a regional Mixed Migration (MM) Programming Framework for DRC operations in Yemen, Lebanon, and Türkiye
In 2024 I am working with the Danish Refugee Council (CRD), to develop a regional Mixed Migration (MM) Programming Framework for its operations in Yemen (the Eastern Red Sea route, from East and the Horn of Africa towards the Arabian Peninsula) and in Lebanon with a potential adaptation for Türkiye (the Eastern Mediterranean route from Türkiye and Lebanon towards Europe) in order to strengthen its Mixed Migration programming in the Middle East region.
Assisting children and vulnerable individuals in the context of border arrivals in EU
In 2024 I joined Save the Children's Expert Roster to be deployed in border areas during disembarkation procedures and emergencies following SAR operations. In cooperation with national and regional authorities, I am acting as a child protection officer in providing immediate assistance to children and vulnerable individuals.
Policy Expert on migration and displacement with UNICEF ECARO
In 2024 I am supporting programming efforts of UNICEF ECARO O/P Rome, Child Protection division, with policy monitoring and analysis on issues related to migrants and refugees, supporting the implementation of advocacy actions and technical edits on advocacy briefs.
Designing and developing a research on the protection of children without parental care displaced from Ukraine
With UNICEF ECARO, in 2023 I was responsible for designing and developing a research on the protection of children without parental care displaced from Ukraine, which included the analysis of relevant international and regional laws and procedures concerning children without parental care, in order to clarify how laws and procedures should best be applied in practice to protect and care for children.
UNHCR-appointed International Protection and Human Rights expert
As International Protection and Human Rights expert appointed by UNHCR, I am assisting the Italian Ministry of the Interior in Refugee Status Determination procedures.
In particular, I take part in the Territorial Commission's collegiate session with voting rights, discussing RSD cases ensuring the respect of national, regional and international human rights and international protection standards.

Assisting IOM, the Government of Azerbaijan and 12 regional countries in establishing a Regional Training Center on Migration
In 2022 I acted as International Consultant with IOM for the establishment of a Regional Training Center on Migration (RTCM) in Baku, Azerbaijan, with the aim of expanding and supporting training and capacity building activities in the field of migration at the regional level.
Supporting the implementation of Humanitarian Corridors from Lebanon, Libya and Afghanistan
With CSD Diaconia Valdese I had the chance of supporting the implementation of Humanitarian Corridors towards the EU, providing advice and technical assistance to beneficiaries and organizations involved.
Pilot Advanced Thematic Forum on International Refugee Protection: Complementary Pathways
On the 26th of January 2022 I took part to the Pilot Advanced Thematic Forum on International Refugee Protection focused on the topic of Complementary Pathways, relating to the objectives of the Global Compact on Refugees in the context of third-country solutions. The event has been organized by the Refugee Law and Migration Center at the Iustinianus Primus Law Faculty, University Ss. Cyril and Methodius-Skopje in cooperation with the UNHCR and the International Institute of Humanitarian Law in Sanremo.
Policy and Legal advice with AsyLex, protecting Migrant rights in Switzerland and the EU
In 2022 I served as legal and policy advisor with AsyLex, providing assistance in the context of the EU "Dublin system", and representing the organization in the context of the European Council of Refugees and Exiles (ECRE) working group on the Common European Asylum System (CEAS).
Providing Project Development and EU Policy Advice to Public Administrations
Through Focus Europe's network of experts, I provide policy advisory and project design and development activities in the field of Migration, Integration, Social Affairs, Sustainable Development, EU project financing, and relations with the EU Institutions and other regional, national and international stakeholders.
Assisting the World Human Rights Council in advancing Human Rights protection in India
In 2016 I assisted the World Human Rights Council's Legal Cell in providing free legal aid to victims of human rights violations and abuses in New Delhi.
