Emanuel Garavello is a seasoned migration specialist with a rich background in human rights protection and migration management. He embarked on his professional journey at UNICEF, delving into the intricacies of corporate policies and their impact on the rights of children and adolescents. Subsequently, he pursued a traineeship with the World Human Rights Council in India, broadening his expertise in the field.

Since 2016, Emanuel has been deeply immersed in migration and asylum issues, wearing multiple hats as an immigration lawyer, a protection caseworker, and a resettlement advisor. Notably, he has spearheaded the legal protection unit of a prominent NGO in a leadership capacity. His commitment to the cause is evident through his extensive collaborations, where he has lent his expertise as a researcher, analyst, and keynote speaker to esteemed organizations like MSOI - UNYA, the United Nations University-MERIT, the Global Campus on Human Rights, and the Institute for Migration Studies at the Lebanese American University.

From 2022 he provides consultancy services to governments, international organizations (including UN agencies such as IOM, UNHCR, and UNICEF)  and NGOs across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.

Emanuel holds a five-year single-cycle Master's Degree in Law from the University of Turin, a Master's in Global Economics and Social Affairs from Ca' Foscari University in collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO), and a notable stint as an external researcher at the European University Institute (EUI), where he delved into the realm of international human rights law.
